A native of Minneapolis and a long time resident of St. Cloud, Peggy has always had a place in her heart for design. However, it wasn’t until her children began to leave the nest that she discovered her true desire to paint. It’s truly never too late to learn. Her flair for color comes from her early studies of interior design. She loves to mix colors to create an exciting palette. Whether, she is painting or designing for her client’s home, it truly is her passion and joy.

Peggy’s work began by painting traditional watercolors. She is now exploring abstracts with mixed media. Which, include realism, collage, acrylics and watercolors.

Peggy says “I love the freedom it gives me to experiment”. “The possibilities are
endless”.

To further her development and artistic skills, Peggy has attended countless seminars and workshops. She is most grateful for those who have shared their time and talents with her. Some of the artists who have influenced her and her work are Karlyn Holman, Karen Knutson, Diane Woit, Doug Lew, Raleigh Kinney, Tony Couch, Robert Burridge and Margaret Evans.

Equally notable is the instruction and encouragement received from fellow artists and family and friends. It wasn’t until her family arranged a trip to Italy with Margaret Evans as part of the Artists International, that she realized her true passion for painting. Peggy has since become a member of Artist of Minnesota and has broadened her style of painting. Peggy currently resides in the Twin Cities. Peggy is at her happiest when she is in her studio mixing colors, creating and designing.

Peggy has been awarded numerous honors for her paintings. She is available upon request for commissions. She can be contacted at 651-334-9978. .
